What you will do:
As a Union Journeyman Fitter/Welder, you are responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and repair of HVAC systems, Hydronic Systems. Installs these systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes. These systems may consist of pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems. Must be able to cut, lay out, weld and assemble pipe and structural assemblies. Must be able to install quality work and have working knowledge of piping systems. Maintains the work area in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Maintains required tools, and properly uses all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment. Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable

Bevel and thread pipe

Install pipe supports

Install valves and instruments

Material handling

Operate lifts and other equipment

Must be able to work with: Carbon steel, Stainless steel, Copper, PVC, Polypropylene
What we look for:
Required
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
At least two years previous related experience as a Pipefitter.

Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. .

Good written/verbal communication skills are necessary.

Available for Local Travel

Trained and qualified to operate machinery such as scissor lifts, aerial lifts, fork lifts, etc
Preferred

Three years of industry experience with piping layout, Hydronic calculations and installation of Hydronic Systems
-
Welding Certifications WPS 1-12-2 SMAW using E6010 followed by E7018 with PWHT
