JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $36.00-$44.50 per hour

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7 am-3 pm

Benefits Start Day 1

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery. Diagnose and lead maintenance associates in the repair of industrial equipment. Assign work orders and train maintenance associates in the repair of extrusion lines. Work with Electrical Lead to coordinate and prioritize job load of maintenance associates. Work with Maintenance Manager to setup and implement effective preventative maintenance program. Ensure accuracy and safety in all operations.

  • Perform all functions of Maintenance Associate 5 & 6
  • Able to plan and organize equipment and facility repairs and assign work as needed
  • Keep logs of machinery repairs
  • Schedule overtime and time off for maintenance associates
  • Assign preventive maintenance tasks and oversees their completion
  • Work with Maintenance Manager in setting goals and exceptions for maintenance associates
  • Assist maintenance associates in the diagnoses and repair of facility and equipment
  • Train maintenance associates in preventive maintenance and repair of extrusion lines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain supplies at workstation
  • Respond to on-call emergencies as needed
  • Use assigned timecard daily to accurately record time worked
  • Attend weekly shift meetings and/or monthly plant meetings, if required
  • Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location
  • Notify department supervisor if proper tools are not furnished to complete job functions

Qualifications
  • Education: High school graduate/GED supplemented by technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of four years of maintenance experience and leadership skills developed in applicable field
  • Meet all experience requirements of Maintenance Associate 5& 6
  • Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance scheduling and implementation required
  • Must be able to read blueprints, and use calipers and other measuring devices
  • Must be able to work and communicate well with others and have above average people skills
  • Must have excellent mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to prioritize and respond appropriately to immediacy of repairs
  • Associate is frequently required to talk and hear
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to lift up to 86lbs on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist and ability to team lift 87 to 100lbs
  • Must have excellent math and design aptitude
  • Must be skilled in working with hand and electrical tools
  • Working Conditions: Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to equipment noise, temperature extremes, and dust
  • Work involves exposure to high voltage equipment and rapidly moving machinery
  • Outside work during hot and cold weather for emergencies is to be expected
  • Constant attention to safe practices is required
  • Equipment/Tools Used: Amp probe, basic hand tools, hand power tools, O scope, OA torch, plasma cutter, soldering iron, volt meter, utility knife
  • Forklift/manlift on occasion
  • Safety glasses, face shields, various gloves, earplugs, steel toed shoes
  • Safe work performance is required from each Associate at all times
  • Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each Associate's performance appraisal
