What will you be doing?

  • Provide assistance in serving guests during banquet functions to ensure positive guest experience.
  • Set up banquet bar including ensuring the appropriate liquor is requested and available based on banquet event needs and type of bar being provided by host.
  • Serve beverages and drinks in the appropriate order and style/manner and clean up bar and store materials and equipment in the proper area and manner.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  • Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
  • Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned.

What you will bring to the role?

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1-2 years of bartending experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Lancaster County Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service Training Certification as well as any additional training / certification requirements per Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Marriott and Lancaster County.
  • Must be able to work after 3 p.m., weekends, holidays, game days and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry 30 lbs., carry multiple drinks at once, sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, use a corkscrew, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
  • Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times.
