STV has an immediate opportunity for a Water/Wastewater Electrical Engineering Specialist in our Water Practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform engineering duties in planning and designing electrical systems for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and Pumping Stations.
• Production of contract documents including plans and specifications.
• Performs load and voltage drop calculations.
• Develops one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Understands and can review short circuit, protective device and coordination studies.
• Prepares construction and design cost estimates.
• Develops project specific specifications.
• Responsible for project management, client interface and business development of future projects.
• Makes site visits during design and construction to inspect the electrical installation.

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
• Experience inwater and wastewater treatment electrical systems is a plus.
• Licensed EIT.
• Knowledge of SKM or ETAP.
• Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 820.
• Experience with 480 V and below electrical equipment (MCC and motor controls, transformers, VFDs, etc) and calculations: Conduit fill, voltage drop, transformer sizing, Feeder/conductor sizing, panelboard and breaker sizing.
• Experience with wiring diagrams, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, junction box design, PLC design, plot plans, loop diagrams, I/O lists, P&IDs, cable/conduit schedules, electrical and instrumentation details.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience withAutoCAD is a plus.
• Course work in power engineering.
